Public Tours of Canada's National Ballet School

a "bravura piece of urbanism" (Toronto
Life) and a "beacon on Toronto's architectural scene" (The
Globe and Mail),
Canada's National Ballet School (NBS) invites you to
join us for an inside look at the new Jarvis Street
Campus. Featuring
a dynamic blend of restored heritage buildings and transparent contemporary
pavilions, the new campus showcases the joint work of two of Canada’s
most prominent architectural firms, Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg
Architects/ Goldsmith Borgal & Company
Ltd. Architects, Architects in Joint Venture. The new campus sits on
the former CBC site and includes: the Margaret McCain Academic
Building (the
former CBC Radio Building and the original Havergal Ladies’ College
built in 1898 & 1901), Northfield House (the 1856 mansion
built for Sir Oliver Mowat) and the Celia Franca Centre, the
stunning new dance training centre named in honour of one of the School’s
co-founders and founder of the National Ballet of Canada.
